PREPARE: mARRIAGE PREPARATION COACHING
Premarital Coaching
For engaged couples and couples seriously preparing for marriage who want to walk into marriage genuinely ready, not just excited. Over eight weeks, we’ll work through the conversations, expectations, and areas of life that matter most before you say “I do.”
Does this sound like you?
Everyone’s asking about the wedding. Who’s asking about the marriage?
You might just be considering marriage, or you may already have a date, a venue, or a growing wedding to-do list. Everyone is excited about the wedding, and you probably are too.
You desire not just to have a beautiful wedding but also a healthy marriage.
You want to take the time to understand each other, talk about the things that matter, and make sure you’re not walking into marriage with assumptions you haven’t talked about yet.
This is for you if:
- You're engaged and preparing for marriage.
- You're seriously dating and marriage is the direction you're heading.
- You love each other, but there are still important conversations you're struggling to have.
- You come from different families, backgrounds, or experiences and want to understand how those differences may affect your marriage.
- You’ve seen marriages struggle and you want to build yours on a solid foundation.
- You want God to shape the marriage you're building, not just be part of the wedding ceremony.
What we’ll work on
Eight weeks of conversations that prepare you for marriage.
Over eight weeks, we’ll work through the areas of your relationship that will matter long after the wedding is over. Some conversations may confirm that you’re on the same page. Others may uncover differences that need more attention.
Either way, the goal is to help you understand each other better and prepare intentionally for the marriage you’re choosing.
Knowing Yourselves
Understanding your background, personality, experiences, expectations, and the beliefs you each bring into the relationship.
Communication & Conflict
Learning how you communicate, handle disagreements, listen to each other, and repair when things don’t go well.
Money, Work & Responsibilities
Talking through finances, career, household responsibilities, roles, and the expectations you each have about how life together will work.
Children & Parenting
Exploring your desires, expectations, and beliefs about children and parenting.
Faith, Values & Worldview
Understanding the beliefs and values that will shape the way you build your home and make decisions together.
Intimacy & Friendship
Talking about emotional and physical intimacy, friendship, affection, connection, and the role these will play in your marriage.
Family, Technology & Boundaries
Working through in-laws, extended family, friendships, technology, boundaries, and the outside influences that can affect your marriage.
Readiness & Your Marriage Plan
Stepping back to look at what you’ve learned, where you’re aligned, where you still have work to do, and how you want to approach your marriage moving forward.
- Knowing Yourself & Each Other - Understanding your background, personality, experiences, expectations, and the beliefs you each bring into the relationship.
- Communication — how to truly hear each other, especially under stress.
- Conflict — how to disagree without wounding, and repair when you do.
- Money, roles & expectations — surfacing the assumptions you didn’t know you had.
- Your two “Marriage Maps” — where your families shaped you differently, and how to blend them.
- Faith & vision — building a shared sense of where you’re headed and why.

What you’ll walk away with
More than a completed workbook. You'll have a clearer picture of the marriage you're preparing to build.
A deeper understanding
You’ll have conversations about parts of your lives that may not naturally come up in everyday dating, which will help you understand each other better.
Clearer expectations
You’ll have a chance to identify the assumptions you’re each bringing into marriage and talk through the areas where you agree and where you don’t.
Areas to keep working on
The goal isn’t to leave looking like a perfect couple. It’s to know where you’re strong, where you need to grow, and what you need to keep working on.
A plan for your marriage
You’ll leave with practical agreements, rhythms, conversations, and a clearer picture of how you want to approach marriage together.
