COURAGE TO MOVE ON FROM A FAILED RELATIONSHIP

You can’t finish the race when you have refused to actually start the race.

You can’t heal from a past relationship when you are still holding on to the hurt.

You can’t move on when you have refused to let go.

You can’t find love when you have refused to open your heart again to love.

You can’t find the right partner when you have refused to let go of the wrong one.

You can’t live in peace with your current partner when you are still thinking about your ex-partner.

You can’t grow from where you are until you realize that what’s lies ahead is better than what you had in the past.

Now read this passage.

“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,
Philippians 3:13 NLT”

Progress is assured when you forget the past and focus on what is before you.

Some of you want to have a successful marriage but you are still angry with your ex. Some of you still go about monitoring your ex, dwelling in the memories you shared when you should be focusing on what lies ahead of you.

Some of you are struggling to love someone else, struggling to give that guy asking you out or that lady showing you the green light a chance in your life because you are still busy thinking about an ex who has moved on.

Hey, how would you allow your past to occupy a free room in your head and hold you back from the beautiful future you have before you?

How can you allow an ex who left or who disappointed you to hold you hostage?

How?
Just tell me how.
Just make it make sense to me.

See,
Let go of that past.
Let go of that hurt.
Let go of that person.

There is a beautiful future awaiting you if only you can let yourself through the doors.

There is a man out there hoping you open your heart to him to love you as no one has ever done.

There is a lady out there that can give you more, who is carrying abundant favour.

But how will you see this if your focus is on your past?

I hope you haven’t forgotten that it’s what you focus on that will dominate your mind, your thought life and it will definitely manifest itself physically.

You just have to stop looking back and look forward to what lies ahead If you want happiness.

Start the actual healing process.

Allow yourself love again. Allow others to love you again. You are special. You deserve to be loved. Stop holding back.

Make that decision today.

Remember, you can’t move forward successfully by looking backward always.
